Just wanted to get an opinion on pricing on a left over 2022 Gladiator Sport S EcoDiesel..
The MSRP is $49,730.00 Dealer discounted it to $41,000.00, The 2022 leftovers do not qualify for the current incentives, only the 2023's so this is all dealer discount.. I have a deposit down as I thought the price was decent but its hard pricing a brand new leftover.. Thanks in advance for any input..

Thats probably abt 10k less than a new 23 diesel sport s. I'd do some checking of new prices of diesel glads, then figure out if its a good deal or not.
Off the top of my head, I think it would be tough to find a cheaper diesel with practically no miles on it. Yes, its a 22, but still new and unused.

Corporate bumps up the dealer holdback money to account for such vehicles without having a rebate. Dealership is not discounting into their margins too much.

It is good price regardless. I would be on it if I was looking to jump to a diesel.

You can easily find 2023s at 15-20% of msrp right now so why buy a 2022 for more than that? I wouldn't even consider a 2022 at less than 25% off personally. My 2023 Mojave had an msrp of $65k and I got it for $52,500 and they threw in lifetime powertrain warranty. A 2022 is going to have less resale value than an identical 2023 going forward. I'd tell them to knock another $5k off or just buy a 2023.

I agree that is too much. They need to come off more and it has been sitting for a year? Enough time to dry out seals etc

The recall was completed on Monday so she is good to go!!!

I did search for 2023 diesels but the only 2023 diesels left in my area are msrp starting at 60k+ so even with the incentives it would put me out of my price range.. I am going to take another look and possibly pressure the dealership to find me a deeper discount... Thanks for all the help

Shoot for 25%. When I bought new a 2014 Camaro SS in February of 2015, I got 25% off sticker.

If you want a diesel grab it and run. Inventories are not high. Unless you are willing to do a national search I cant see you doing much better .

More discount or more factory warranty.

For all those saying you should demand 25% off, take a look at the ratio of gas powered gladiators to diesel powered trucks in your market. The dealers aren't ignorant--they are well aware of the rarity and know that when the current crop is gone, the manufacturer will never make them again. The upper level trims in my area are made up of 344 rubicons and 201 Mojaves in a 300 mile radius. The quantity of diesel rubicons available? Only 6........

I just bought a 2022 Overland in October that has been sitting on the lot for 48,000 marked down. I’ve put about 2000 miles on it already and have had no issues. I like that the 2022 has decent reliability rating and they worked a lot of the bugs out in the earlier versions. Now the 2023 models have new features which could be good, or not. Maybe I should have gotten a 2023 but I liked this one. As far as resale I think people pay more attention to the mileage than one year difference, personally.

People are talking about % off MSRP on 2023s, which is all fine and dandy, but they forget how much prices went up from 22 to 23.

For example my truck was 52915 in 22 and the same build in 23 is just shy of 58k. The 10% rebates are just getting you back to last year's prices.

20% off a 22 is equivalent to 25% off an similarly equipped 23.

Is 5% worth an extra model year? Well, that's your call. But if I really wanted a diesel, I'd probably take the plunge. Gas I'd probably grab the newer model year as there'd be a lot more options available.
