Pro tip: Thread protectors for the doors

I pull my door retaining hardware on all my jeeps and throw a set of these "thread protectors" to protect the hinge, during install and removal of the doors, and to alleviate rust when installing and removing the doors. They are in the hardware section in the little drawers of home stores. They are hidden by the hinge but are available in black when not on back order. You can also use vac caps from your auto parts store.

Excellent idea, I added a little anti seize too.

Neat idea…if I can remember to get them in the spring.

I installed the nutserts back in….for the winter (with anti seize).
