Metalcloak has a great mount for their Blacksport reservoirs. Nice and tucked.

I’m worried I’ll hit those in that spot. My piggybacks are roughly in that location. Mine are clocked out a bit though, to avoid having the piggyback bridge hitting the shock mounts. You can see where I was hitting them.

I’ll second the metal cloak mounting option. I’m not a fan of tubes full of fluid that keep the Jeep stable being right where if something is going to get bashed, it gets bashed hard. Back up out of the way is the smart move. Never understood why Jeep decided to put those in the front on the Mo Jave.
I agree. I don’t want them up there. I’ve received the dimensions as well. 2.5” diameter x 12.873” long including everything. End caps, solenoid, etc. so pretty big.

Rubis don’t have reservoir shocks at all.
I thought they did. For my MP concepts front bumper there was mention of having to cut away part of the skid plate for the Rubi. Maybe it was a different part and not a reservoir

Or they made a change to rubis in recent years that I don’t know about.
Mine is an ancient 2021.

Rubi's never had remotes.

My King remotes are mounted to the frame. Not piggy backed. If I hit anything. It would be the elbow on top of the shock.

Thanks. That would probably work great. And the elbow on these would likely face the rear. How are they mounted?

I relocated my Mojave reservoirs under the hood, but they also have ridiculously long hoses.

Can I ask where please? They’ll make the hoses as long as I want them. Do you have any pictures I can see? Thanks!

I posted pictures a while back let me see if I can dig them up. Drivers side I made a bracket and used a bolt in the fender, passenger side is on a bolt on the firewall. Used the factory Mojave clamps.

edit: here it is..

I really like those spots. Unfortunately my under hood real estate is pretty limited by my other electrical accessories. Giving it some thought anyway though. I’d absolutely love to not have them in the fender area whatsoever. I’m going to look hard at my hood area to see if I can make some changes. But it’s pretty tight in there.

I was also thinking of putting them lower behind the wheel liner on the firewall as the was room there but opted to put them up top as it was easier.

Doesn’t that cause more heat buildup in the reservoir? I thought that was the point of the reservoir. To dissipate heat.
Seems logical, but I’m not an expert on shock oil and acceptable ambient temps.
