So my question is, would I be able to get the dealership to install an aftermarket steering box and have it cover under my warranty? This PSC big bore steering assist kit looks like exactly what I need, a re-engineered steering box. I’ve seen a lot of success online with these kits correcting the dead spot and play in the steering wheel.

It's not covered under the warranty unless it is a Jeep/Mopar part, even if the dealer installs it. The dealer would be responsible for making sure it is installed according to the manufacturer directions, and would be responsible for a labor warranty if it was not installed correctly.

My dead spot in my 2020 Overland was eliminated with the installation of a new steering box, as per the TSB.

I figured they would only install jeep/mopar parts but the steering boxes they have are trash. I’ve had all 3 steering boxes already. I’m gonna see if I can get Jeep to install this kit but it’s expensive and I’m not shelling any cash.

You want Jeep to install an aftermarket kit for free labor? Is that what you're saying?

I want them to cover everything but I wanna know how to handle the situation. I’m dealing with customer care and they want a <2 week diagnosis done on the issue….. refusing to go further with the issue until it’s done enough though I’ve been in 10x to the dealership for this. They’ve already wasted money on 3 junk boxes.

Find a good shop and do the PSC. Eat the cost. Jeep isn't gonna help you and it will fix your problem. Jeeps always have been starter kits anyway.

As long as it's under warranty, let them continue their box replacing process. They will either get one that works, or you can attempt a Lemon Law replacement because they can't fix the problem.
I’m giving them one more attempt to fix this then I’m going the lemon law route. It’s just ridiculous, they screwed up the steering box design and clutches… 2 designs that have been out 100+ years. I remember all the real Jeeps I use to own, this one has been more of a PITA than all of them combined, which isn’t saying too much since the other Jeeps were GREAT!
