Good call. Does sound like a cheap brushless DC fan that is COLD and struggling to go. Used to hear that on laptop computers in real cold weather.
My laptop makes that sound for the past 4 years.

Gladiator and Wrangler use a electric vacuum pump. My money is on that pump.

I wondered about that - it's going to be prepped when the door is unlocked/opened, and is the first thing that should be active since it's press pedal to start.
It's why I joked about the rodents using a bellows for a pump

aftermarket LEDs?
@jjdustr340 Yes I have aftermarket LEDs! It hasn't done it since yesterday! I will find out by the end of this week, single-digit temperatures are expected in Texas on Thursday and Friday (Meanwhile I have turned off flash lights with lock feature, this will stop the headlights illuminating and staying on)
electric vacuum pump
@Hootbro @ShadowsPapa Does temperature affect the electric vacuum pump?

I would expect this like most components on the vehicle to have a design range in the -20F or even -30F degrees but that does not negate that cold temperatures may have an affect on some units more than others due to manufacturing tolerances.

Out of curiosity, have you replaced your headlight bulbs with aftermarket LEDs?
This sounds very similar to when the built in fan on many of those bulbs starts to go bad or gets “sticky” due to cold weather. Just a guess.
@jjdustr340 It is indeed aftermarket LEDs! :headbang: Good call ! Thank you!
