What a cool and simple mod. Took all of about 20 mins and 10 of that was trying to disconnect the inline from the rosebud / fir tree clip next to / under the brake controller to tie the "T-fitting connector" into.
The grommets and fittings fit perfectly into the grill inserts. One thing that does kind of bug me is the grille is not "even" across all the slots. The distance of the middle honeycomb grille insert is a bit off in the center compared to the outside slots height wise. Not enough to really notice unless you look hard, but they're not even across them using a tape measure

Question for you - did you have a hell of a time getting the wiring harness to disconnect? I swear for the life of me, I can’t get the harness to give at all. Everything else has been great! But I cannot get the harness to open up so I can install the T-connector.

Did you push the red CPA (connector Position Assurance) lock back on the connector to release the connectors?

Yes, the red CPA was pushed back. Had to use a flathead to actually get it to push back, but it’s back.
Here are some photos - it has an extra tab on top from where the clip to hang it on the fender was. I took the clip off, but still can’t get this thing to budge. Talk about feeling useless!

Its almost a 2 handed operation to squeeze the "ramp" (where you slide the red CPA out of) with your thumb and forefingers and use the other hand to pull the mating connector body apart. It takes a lot of pressure to depress the locking tab to get enough room for the connectors to slide apart.
I took my clip off to get a better grasp on it and some more slack to work on
