2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport
Bought 2020 gladiator Sport already lifted, fox shocks and 35's already installed.
rear sits 2 inches higher than front, rear seems too high, can it be lowered? or one must level the front higher?

Springs set the ride height, and shocks control the ride. Several options here:
1. Replace front springs with 1.5-2" taller springs
2. Add 1.5" leveling spacer kit to the front (Teraflex makes one for about $115)
3. Replace rear springs with 1.5-2" shorter springs.

A spring pair front or rear runs about $200-300.

One thing to consider is the length of the fox shocks that are on it. You want the ride height on level-ish ground to be close to the middle of the shock travel. So if you raise the front and that puts the shocks closer to fully extended, maybe it's better to shorten the rear. And vise versa with the rear shocks being closer to fully compressed. This is a precision consideration and honestly you'll be in pretty good shape either way and can ignore it, especially if you're not planning on doing heavy off roading, and with only 1.5-2" of changing.

Pretty typical with the Mopar lift.. you can try replacing the rear springs with a set from Clayton or Metalcloak.. whats the measurement from the bottom of the bumpstop cup to the original plate on your axle? Those numbers can help figure out if you need 1.5" or 2.5" springs to make it level.

also, I am adding a new bumper and winch, about 140lbs total weight, will this cause the front to dip?

It will definitely bring the front down a bit. How much is impossible to say without knowing what springs you have in the front. Best bet is to replace the springs after you install your new bumper and winch, that way you'll know which ones to buy.

I think your truck is in season lol. Front spacer or some bed weight should fix that. run some full jerrys and recovery gear in a box ought to take a solid inch or more out.

edit: also the reason rubicons don't look the same with that lift would be the high clearance front fenders. Its makes the truck visually level but frame to dirt exactly the same. because your trim doesn't have rubi fenders, the rake stands out a lot more.

Do you know what lift is currently installed? Mopar, or just pucks? I'm asking because when I had my Overland lifted I went with the Rubicon Express 2.5/3.5 lift based on a discussion with the shop that did it. I was worried about not enough rake because I tow a trailer from time to time. They said if I wanted to keep some rake to keep the stock springs, install pucks and replace shocks with Fox.

I'm curious if that is what you have or if it is Mopar, etc.. I'm just comparing differences with measurements on mine vs. what you posted.

Your rear sway bar links look identical to Mopar links and the angle of the sway bar arm suggests the links are longer than stock.

You obviously have Fox shocks and black coils.

I'd say with 95% certainty you have Mopar 2" lift coils and the rest of the Mopar 2" kit.

No tags on the coils anywhere?

1. Not all lifts are created equal. Some are full featured and keep your steering and geometry where they should be - and others - like the Mopar or teraflex spacer pucks - do not. Your best bet it to get it into a reputable 4x4 shop and let them tell you what you got, and the best way to get it to where you want it. (Clayton comes to mind.....). I for SURE would want to know what was done and what wasn't if I bought a "lifted" jeep. A lift can cost anywhere from $150 to $8,000+. I'd want to know which end of the spectrum my Gladiator was sitting on so that I could plan accordingly.

2. Yes. Expect roughly 1/2 inch more "droop" on the front after you've installed your bumper and winch. Which will of course exasperate your rake "problem".


PS - ARGUABLY - Fox shocks are not necessarily an indicator of a well thought out lift. (Putting on my Flac jacket now..... :D :D)

Winner Winner, I think you are spot on, I took it to a local shop, guy tells me this is a mopar 2 inch lift from the dealer, but the dealer likes to give it a factory look hence why the large rake in the rear, question now is do I just need the factory springs to bring the rear down? can anyone provide a link? Thank you

Factory rear springs might be a little low since the Mopar kit gives a little over 2”.

Yes, I think that would do what you want. Raise the front 1” or lower the rear with some 1” lift springs from Synergy or stock springs with a spacer.
