Radio plays while powered off???

Just got in my 22 gladiator with the 7 inch radio. Gladiator had been sitting off for about four hours. Got in, plugged in my phone, and it continue to play what was playing hours earlier. StartStop button was lit up off, and the radio display was solid black.

Is this normal? Or welcome music similar to when I’m turning my car off?

You aren't alone. Occasionally, when I have a door open for a while (loading something and getting ready to leave) and the car is off, the radio will come on and start playing the last thing on my phone. It doesn't do it all the time, just every once in a while. I haven't closed the door to see if it stops because I'm usually on my way out. If it does it again I'll try opening and closing doors to see if it stops.

Should have mentioned, I have a wireless CarPlay adapter plugged into the USB port in console storage.

That's a feature not a bug! Seriously though, I wish getting carplay running was that easy the rest of the time.. yes, accept, wait to put it in reverse until it's on, damn, unlock the phone and try again..

Makes me miss my JK.. bluetooth was nearly instant and required 1 button push.

Mine does too, but there is no pattern to it. Sometimes it picks up right where it left off, and sometimes you have to do it the normal way.

Mine as well.
I even had the radio replaced for a different issue, and it still does it.
