I had the same issue with my fob after dropping it.Found a spy photo that displays how DI Labs handled the fob battery..
Battery just slips in the battery cradle and you close the fob up.... no juggling a battery when you are go to close the fob up..

I had the same issue after dropping mine. The spring steel that holds the battery against the button side seems sufficient so I just added a little piece of folded paper on the side of the battery between it and the side of the fob case pushing the battery against the side spring steel where I think it was loosing connection. I have dropped it a few times since and no loss of function.I dropped my beta unit on the ground yesterday. First time. Anyways the battery slipped from its little cradle and wouldn't let me in the truck. Simple fix, remove the screw reseat the battery, tighten screw back up was good to go. Glad I was still around some tools instead of not though.
