I'd love to see what you come up with. My wife has a Grand Cherokee with a keyfob that's probably 2/3 the size of my Gladiator fob and has one extra button to open the tailgate. So it's got more buttons (I assume more electronics) and a slide-out key and it takes up far less volume than the Gladiator fob. If you can get the slide-out key thing working that would be awesome.
This... slide out key and still fit the cup holder slot. I love my AJT, but using the hard key is difficult with nothing on the end.

I'm in. I found out the hard way the factory fob is not waterproof paddleboarding on the gulf. So it's huge and not waterproof.

I miss my old CX-9 fob that I could disconnect the key and take it out on the water and leave the electronics in the car.

I would certainly be interested in a smaller one, especially one that doesn't pop the key open in your pocket.

Just drove my buddies new Tacoma, I thought I lost his keyfob he gave me because I couldn't feel it in my pocket it was so small. I absolutely hate our big keyfob, its ludicrous. Maybe copy the Tacoma's design, he had all the bells and whistles too.

Wife drove the JT today for the first time ever, picking me up from the motorcycle dealer. She loved the ACC, and thought it handled well. She said "but what's with this damn key fob?" I clipped it to her belt loop. She said, "But what about chicks with slim jeans and no loops??" I said they don't buy trucks, but it's the guys in skinny jeans and too much fashion fear who complain about it.

chicks have purses, surprised you got a comment, although lots of chicks with jeeps that run to favorite spots for fitness...they don't wear much for clothes or like to carry purses for active stuff either, the brick must undergo surgery

Yeah, I think I've seen her carry a purse twice, both at weddings. I think she may have had to borrow it. When she drives to yoga, she puts her fairly small BMW fob in her locker bag. So...irrelevant. When I go to the pool at a neighbor's house...it goes into my clothing bag.

I think she's just already triggered from laughing at the 30-page fob threads before.

Waterproof would be a huge selling point for me. I did not think to list it before, so small, smooth corners to fit in the pocket, access to the key for the lockable compartments and waterproof.

@crdouglass3 is your plan to transplant the internals, or new electronics that then get "keyed" to the the Gladiator?

Would not have to be water proof if I could separate the key from the electronics.

Or you could make the key pop straight out the front like the Benchmade Infidel knife, then you could market it to survivalists.

I have a base JT. There are no buttons on the fob. I want one as small as possible. I do need the key, if I lock it that is, heck I could put it on keychain.
This!

I'd definitely be interested in a button free version.
