Keep us posted. I haven’t had DW yet (I also rarely drive mine with less than 1400 miles since I got it in September) but I’m adding rebel off-road rack and some add ins and RTT soon.

With that weight plus throwing stuff for camping in the back and eventually getting upgraded front bumper and winch, I think a 2.5-3” AEV lift is in my future but I want to see what your issue ends up being so I can be alert!

Are the holes for the front track bar still round? Mine were hogging out and the bolt could play in the hole.

Got the alignment done, DW went away for about 2 weeks, now it’s back. Checked all the bolts, still tight, running same air pressure, moved front tires to rear. No slope when checking ball joints. Check out the specs in the picture and please let me know what you thinks.

I’m still having death wobble. I have searched, watched videos, installed new parts, retorqued all the bolts, still having problems.

2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys
18k miles

Upgraded parts

  • Lift - 2.5 EVO Enforcer Lift (About 500 miles driven).
  • .75 Inch Daystar Coil Spacers - Front and Rear (About 500 miles driven).
  • Steer Smarts Track Bar (About 300 miles driven)
  • Rock Krawler Adjustable Lower Control Arms (less than 100 miles driven).
  • Rear Rock Krawler Track Bar (less than 100 miles driven).
  • Tires - 37x12.50x17 Kanati Mud Hog (About 500 miles driven).
  • Wheels - Rock Trix RT116 - 8 Straight Spoke / 17x9 -12mm (About 500 miles
No issues prior to install lift.

Installed lift, wheels and tires, had death wobble.

Had alignment done… still had death wobble.

Got new track bar…still had death wobble.

Got new lower control arms and rear track bar…still have death wobble.

Next step is to get another alignment.

I’m sure caster is off, confident the front and rear axles are centered.

The axle end of the track bar joint looks tweaked, does a washer need to be added on the on the back side of the joint face, inside of the frame mount? See picture below.

What bushings would be the first to cause the issue?

Also see a leak on the steering box, could that expose death wobble with the larger tires / springs? See picture below.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

The Track bar doesn't look tight to me.
Are the washers on the track bar correct?
I had to set up a Go pro camera in front of my jeep and start it up and cycle the steering back and forth to find the culprit.
My problem was the threaded end of my old version Teraflex adjustable track bar. It was flexing where it connected to the frame. i sent the video to Terraflex and they gave me a newer version track bar. Much beefier. solved my issue.

The guy who did my lift. It's a Clayton Overland lift 2.5 suggested and put it at around 6.5-7.5 on caster. Don't know the exact number. Not an expert myself.
