So, the "Rear Axle is showing that it is locked when it is not" means only the module and sensor per @I'mBack are needed for the fix? The driveability is not impacted, no actual locking? This looks like a common issue.

The two I had in the shop just required the sensor byass from Z Automotive to fix the issue. One started out with just the flashing locker light, but one eventually showed service 4wd after ignoring it for 100s of miles.

This has been an issue since they started using e-lockers. It's just the sensor that's bad.

At least on the JK it's a $50 part. But you have to remove the carrier assembly to get to it.

As far as I know it's the same sensor on the JL/JT. Dana didn't change the design.

You don't have to remove the carrier. Just a bearing cap bolt and a smaller torx bolt to remove the sensor.

Are you telling me they changed the design? To replace the sensor on a JK and JL you need to remove the carrier.

That's good to know. It's not so easy on JK's. Also can't pot the sensor since it's a plunger style.
The sensor on a Power Wagon is different too. It's a magnet and sensor. The problem with it is that small metal particles get on the magnet and blocks the sensor from picking up the magnet. you can see the sensor and clean it with a Q-tip. But if you have to replace it. you have to remove the carrier and need a special tool to disassemble the unit.

Is there a sensor magnet in the JT that needs cleaning to function properly? By chance do we have a photo of the magnet/sensor?

FWIW Dana did not build the electric locker in the JK. It was built by GKN.
