@WhatExit? how long would you say it takes to pull them out (now that you know how), and do you think it would be reasonable to reinstall them in a reasonable amount of time if you needed them (I know you've built a platform, so unlikely in your case, but just pretend)?

Breaking the nuts loose (bolts actually) takes a bit of time and then unscrewing them all the way out. The factory used some thread locker on them so they're "in there real good." There are "only" 8 bolts plus the other screws. Probably 30 minutes to take them out. And maybe a similar amount of time to put them back in assuming they line up fine. Well, I'd say it'll like take more time to put them back in than take them out.

The platform comes out much faster (and goes in faster) as it's not as heavy or bulky as the seats. I designed the platform so it's easy to get to all 8 of the bolts.

You need to have the proper socket for the bolts for sure

Uh, no. The seats come out in 2 units.

He referring to the rear wall storage bin you access by folding the rear seat backs forward.

Yeah there's a lock next to the release strap. keeps the seats from folding forward.

I've never removed the plastic from the side of the seat hinge. You may be able to (one way or another) be able to take apart the hinge pin to remove the seat bottom and use the seat back/frame/hinge alone. If your doing a floor platform just account for the seat back tilting forward as much as needed.

Nope. "Old seats" are brand new, unused, no ass ever has touched the seats and they're hermetically sealed like a museum piece stored on a rack in the garage
