So I bought a Spartacus Rugged Ridge bumper two weeks ago from Extreme Terrain. It had a $50 rebate at the time of purchase. I filled out all of rebate paperwork and even included all the purchase paperwork. So today they deny the claim and won’t refile it. Truck Hero is the company processing the rebate. Caveat Emptor.

Bought a RR tri-fold tonneau cover, offer included $100 rebate that was handled through Truck Hero. I had to call and have a representative help me with the form, too many different numbers, product, manufacturing, order, etc. We finally got it straight and I received my gift card about a week later.

Rugged Ridge (well, 'Truck Hero' who processes their rebates) declined the rebate on the rear bumper after previously approving a rebate on my front bumper. Not sure why my rebate was declined, but I didn't feel like endless phone calls and more forms being filled out, so I just let it go. Which I'm pretty sure is what they are counting on.

Well they succeeded.
Extreme Terrain should be notified of the false rebate offer.

They did the same to me. They suck. I’m sorry I own anything RR. It’s too bad it’s such a nice bumper.

Did you send the right proof of purchase and box barcode? They will process it. I did two separate rebates over the summer.

I had someone install it so no box was left, but I sent them the receipt from Extreme Terrain.

That right there is why. They state you need the UPC from the box (which is extremely common, BTW). That way you can't re-sell it after claiming the rebate. Without the physical UPC they have no proof that item didn't already have a rebate processed.

In this case I don't think they're at fault at all. You did not send them all the required items.

That’s bullshit. Mine was destroyed and the upc wasn’t there. That’s a poor excuse. Stop making excuses for crappy customer service. This is why consumers are dealing with half ass companies knowing these things will come up and not having to pay. That’s a huge saving for them. They aren’t your friend and never will be.

It's pretty clearly stated that it's needed. It's also a very common practice, so it's not like they're being weird requiring this. Why are you yelling at me?

A company covering itself against potential fraud is not "half-assed". It's good business practice. Friendly or not, there's nothing wrong here. If you want friends, go wheeling and make some.

No one is yelling at anyone snowflake. I already explained why in my case they suck. If you can’t get that through your head, you’re a lost cause.
