Bestop Rebate Looks Like A Nightmare To Get My Refund

I am not sure when the part # changed. I think the new part# is 52454-17

But when I bought mine the part # was
52452-17

I downloaded the Rebate form the day I ordered: 4/10/2020

Pretty sure that's the form I ended up filling out and got my card last week. I also ordered in early April

Excellent...glad to hear you got yours.

I am less than hopeful considering I am already on my "2nd" round due to their BS claim I did not originally include the receipt. So maybe another 3 months..who knows.

We did make a change to the part number on Sunrider for Hardtop. We are aware of this and will honor the new part number, of course. We have also alerted the rebate company that handles the rebates for us. There is a chance that if you send in the paperwork early on with a mismatch part number that you'll get declined and we'll help turn that around for you. Otherwise, you should be A-OK.
Sorry for all the confusion and for any difficulty in getting a hold of our Customer Service team. This is our busy season and we are admittedly backed up in that department.

Wondering when you figured this out? I spoke to your office today and to the rebate company. I asked for a manger and all I got was a rude "sorry you don't like it but no one will authorize the rebate."...seems like they would be aware of the issue on your end

1. We changed the part numbers on Sunrider for Hardtop very recently. If you ordered a 52452-35 and received a 52454-35 we're aware of this and everything is as expected. Your rebate should process normally.

2. If you ordered a Twill Sunrider when only the Black Diamond was on rebate, then there is no rebate applicable for your purchase. Some websites (like Northridge) will show the same promotional banners across all Bestop products but it is up to the purchaser to ensure the product they're purchasing is on the qualifying products list. They do have appropriate verbiage in place.

So now you are back tracking on your promise to make it right? The issue is on your end and has happened more than once. You start with one link on your site too. You can do the right thing knowing that you don't show anything being excluded for the twill top.

If you chose to take advantage of customers, you lose any future business from the people you rip off.

Ill return the top and you can keep you rebate and the top. Glad to learn what Bestop customer service is really like before I spend money on your doors or anything else.

There have been some mix-ups with the rebates. Perhaps some mis-communications. Perhaps COVID-19 has something to do with it. But by no means is Bestop a bad or shady company.

They make Jeep OEM tops. I doubt Jeep would use them as a supplier if they were not a reputable company.

The info posted on their own website at time i ordered clearly stated a $200 rebate....they have not honored that (going on 100days now) and appear to be double talking it away. I know what i call that.

Only thing i can do now is discourage others from doing business with them and avoiding business with them in the future myself.

I recall as I was cutting the UPC off the box and stuffing the required forms in the envelope...thinking how silly it was having to do this in this day and age. Don't get me started on having to search for damn stamp =P. LOL

I think my main lesson learned is never ever again let a "rebate" be a deciding factor...unless its something applied immediately.

I agree the only one it benefits is the company. Either people forget to fill them out or they find excuses for not honoring them until the person gives up. At least I know better than to order anything else from Bestop and can share my experience with others.

Just because they make tops for Jeep doesn't mean they treat the individual customer right.

They are a form of bait and switch IMO. Just too many ways for the company to get out of honoring them.
