Retired. Finally !!
Well, since my garage is cluttered with a 1953 Willys CJ-3A and my Ural sidecar motorcycle (amongst other crap), my Gladiator been in the driveway since day 1.

So yay me for having a cluttered garage !!

Mine lives there permanently because the garage is full of motorcycles, the motorcycle lift, gym, and parts. I don't think I could squeeze the truck in there if I wanted to - and the LJR would take priority anyway.
I might start parking on the street away from the other cars though.

Mine doesn't come up-- yet. For once I'm almost glad I don't have a garage.

Really curious what the "fix" will be as the system is designed to have power to the pump at all times (for some unknown reason).

Maybe a relay that cuts it off when ignition is off?

Another question - what do we know about the differences (if any?) in steering pumps and connections? They're the same across all JT's, right? I would expect this to cover all JT's, not random ones throughout the years.

Mine's not in there either. Mine was built in June of 2019 so I guess it's outside the scope of this recall as it was built WELL pre-COVID. I attribute a LOT of manufacturing issues not only with Jeeps but, other cars and other equipment due to Quality Control departments being decimated with lack of personnel due to COVID quarantine restrictions so, therefore a lot of inferior parts made it into things that should have been rejected due to poor quality, again probably because of COVID and companies having reduced staffing to properly make these parts.

I'm sure we're going to see a lot of COVID era vehicles getting hit with safety recalls.

My 2024 Mojave X isn’t on the list…or doesn’t show up as an “unrepaired Recall”
I guess I should try again in a few days.

My '23 Willys doesn't either, I'm guessing they'll populate on June 11th.

Mine isn't in recall as the pump number isn't listed. Mine is an early build 2021 sport w/max tow.

Please help me to understand this. I have an early 2021 build as well, do I need to look at my pump, or will something on the door suffice?

No idea if it has anything to do with it but for 21 they changed from an aluminum steering box to a steel one.
My 2020 has a steel gearbox after the tsb was performed. I doubt that would be the reason for excessive heat. They know the reason and that is why they limited the recall to 21-25. Different vendor for the pump or the wire harness is my guess.

I figured it out, I need to look at the pump. Mine was actually manufactured in 10/2020, so I will go out and look in a bit, but I am actually hopeful mine won’t be included either. We shall see I guess.
