Any Recommendations for adding grab handles to the side of the hardtop behind the rear doors? To aid in reach/access to stuff in the bed while standing on the running boards.

Are you talking about something that bolts to the outside of the hardtop?
That’s actually a decent idea. I’m always standing on my slider steps and wash the roof & back window. I’m always clawing at the roof rail.

Hmm does anyone make a ā€˜thing’ that would utilize the roof rail/cargo rail?

Yup, that's what I'm thinking about, and thought I should ask this expert group before I just bought stuff and started drilling...

What about a roof rack cross bar that clamps to the rain gutter. You could attach some hand grips as required. I have a phobia about drilling holes anywhere water could get in, even if remotely possible. I use a small folding step stool, because I feel more stable.

Be cautious adding something that you’ll be pulling yourself up with back there. That area of the hardtop just behind the rear doors is VERY weak. something for the drip rail would be a safer option.
