Recommendations for light bar above the windshield with conventional lights (like Hella or KC)?

It's not so much what's in and more what's effective. A 50" bar of KC lights is bright, but it's not 40,000 lumens bright like a Baja Designs bar. KC is best in the business for LED reflector lights and have great light quality, light bars just have a better, brighter throw for distance which is the primary purpose of a roof bar.

I think most Jeep people like the classic look, it just doesn't keep up dollar for dollar when you can get an OnX6+ 50" bar kit for nearly the same price as that KC setup.

sorry to necropost, found this thread looking for an alternative to light bars that aren't the 2k+ kc system. so far it seems the kc xross bar and the road armor mount are the only options out there?

personally i'm not a fan of integrated led light bars, i don't like someone else deciding where the light should go, i'd rather have individual aim-able lights of different throw patterns(flood, spot, etc).
i like how both bars and the old school kc style look, so it's more about configure-ability/control of light (although my wife, who's jeep its for loves the old school kc look)

Was even considering a roof rack, not just for more storage, but also to mount four round lights to the front of it.

Old school KC lights on the rollbar was just too cool for school, would love to see it brought back.

yeah the gravity pro6 is pretty sweeet, but that price lol, my other concern with it is it looks like it mounts pretty low and would be worried about it interferring with the acc/safety camera pod at the top center of the windshield.

My plan is to mount a couple light pods or light bar onto my bed rack. I figure whatever I put up there will be my spot pattern and I'll mount a driving/combo light on the bumper. I really like the idea of a few Baja Designs LP6, but will probably try something else as the price on those is crazy.

I just finished this setup with some KC Daylighters, KC Xcross bar and the KC Light Bracket. My only problem is that it creates a burble right over the soft top. I’m working on a wind deflector to alleviate this soon. We’ll see what happens. ?‍

How high above the roofline does the pro 6 sit? I have a garage clearance problem that I'm trying to avoid. Turns out Lift kits for Jeeps are much cheaper than lift kits for garages.

I need that small bracket that mounts to the windshield hinge. My light bar mounts do not have those brackets. Where can I buy a set so I can mount some ditch lights?

I too would like to raise this thread from the dead. I’m also looking for a kit similar to the KC gravity series. My problem is that I have a Rugged Ridge Amfib snorkel… the lower A-Pillar mount won’t work with that I don’t believe…
