I’ve decided to remove the spare tire from my JTR because it’s currently running on 37’s and will be 39’s soon. There is a ton of space down there now, has anyone done anything cool down there? I was thinking about putting water tanks for overlanding or maybe my second battery back there. What have you done?

I thought about the same thing but I just got a EZ Flate Moab compressor and LOVE that thing, so no hard mounting with it. The more I thought about the battery idea, the less I like it because I don’t have the fab tools or skills or get something that would be completely water tight. A water tank back there though is very intriguing, working on some designs now

I've been thinking the same. I moved my spare to my bed rack. I'm at 37s and going a little bigger next too. Water is a cool idea.

Rear winch??? Might be a good fit. I've been thinking about trying to build a rear bumper that would hold one for the rear bumper. Might be on hold for me now for awhile though.

Yes, I am designing a water tank for that space. Just need to figure out where I want to pump it to!

I would do 10 gal water and 10 gal gas. Mount the spare on the bumper.

I built a cage for a compressor, 2.5 gallon air tank, and some train horns. I also put a air coupler coming out of the bumper.

I keep thinking of dropping my spare but I don't want to be throwing it into the bed or worse yet on the top of the rack.

He has, in many cases a rear winch is a good thing, for getting unstuck if not out trail riding.
