Yep. They work for now. I’d prefer to do the whole suspension at one time instead of a piece here and there. Looking at Clayton Long arms with different springs, possibly RockJock and not sure on shocks yet. I ran the 3” Currie springs put out by Savvy off-road a while back and I really liked those. Been doing some research on Carbon shocks and I like what I see. Except for the price, but I’m gonna say that about anything.

What shocks did you end up with? I’m running the Clayton Overland plus 2.5 with Falcon 3.1 shocks. The 3.1s are adjustable to firm or soft but don’t have the dial for incremental settings. My Rubicon with 37” Baja Boss at 27psi cold rides fairly stiff on soft and has me thinking about the Rocksport reds or grays. I’m waiting for a set of MC ball joints to come in and might order the shocks to do it all at once. Just curious what you ended up doing?
I went with rocksports and they were ok. I found a good deal on bilstein 5100’s and bought them. I prefer them. On road handling is better. Bumps are a little more jarring but not bad.

Control arm drop brackets definitely improve ride as well. If ground clearance isn’t a concern

It is. Bandit isn’t hitting too serious level trails yet, but we’re gettin itchy to go find some “fun” stuff eventually. Desert SW kinda have to be ready for everything even on a trail that’s been run 100x. That one day you install something that hangs lower than the diff is the day you break/bend/bash something. I somehow mashed up my dust guard for the brakes. No idea how I managed that one without further damage but they’re mangled all to Heyal.

But the soft setting can be made even softer with the dials .
That was my original understanding when I bought the Falcons from Clayton back in 2023. At the time the Gladiator version of 3.1s were being discontinued so I got the set at a great price. I almost bought the adjustment dial cartridges at the same time but decided to try them as is and see if I wanted the extra adjustment. Fast forward a few months and I emailed Teraflex to see how much softer they could be if I added the dials. The person who answered said that the dials will only firm up the settings from which ever SP2 position, soft or performance, the shocks are currently in. He said that when the shaft is turned to the soft setting, the valve is fully open and is soft as it can get with or without the dials. He went on to say the fast adjust cartridge meters oil flow and stiffens the feel of the shock.

I don't know that the information is correct because after hearing that, I did not add the dials. If adding fast adjust cartridges will allow me to dial them even softer, I'd much rather do that than buy new shocks.

Having adjustment is overrated, once you get a shock set and it feels good you hardly ever touch the adjustments. I would suggest pricing out some King shocks that fit your budget, and order from https://www.filthymotorsports.com/ I think they will valve the shocks for your use as part of the purchase.

You will get years of life out of the king stuff.

I used to think that way as well that it was all gimmicky stuff but once it was explained to me it makes sense on the adjustments. You’re from AZ so you may have been out to Superstition OHV. I can see how an adjustment would be beneficial when running through the Sand Dam area and then once you drop off the back and start getting into Black Cats and Broken Mirror you want something different. It’s 2 totally different types of terrain all in the same area within a couple miles. Then there’s the road trip out there and back. Getting something that is preset for multiple terrains right out of the box could be good for ease of use but would getting something that can adapt to the terrain with a couple clicks on a dial be even better for capabilities and not breaking stuff? That’s my thought process.

Heck I may be wrong to . I have the SP2 2.1's with just the 2 shaft positions.. I run soft in winter and performance in summer .
If what the tech told you is true then the dial literally will just lower tire bounce or suspension dive after encountering rocky terrain.
The 1 position is soft
2 is the adjustable section
3 is firm .
So if the shaft is set on soft and dial is on 3 is this a soft/firm or firm /firm 🤔
Think they have electronically controlled ones now .

When I have a few minutes I’ll call them for clarification. What I was told last year made sense but now I’m curious again. There have been a few times having the ability to change settings on the fly would be nice but only if I can get a little softer feel. The upgrade kit wasn’t bad last time I checked, around 400 I think. I’ll let you know what they say.

I called and the person I spoke with said the same as the guy last year. The softest the shock can get is with the shaft turned to the soft setting. If the dial cartridges are added, it will allow them to stiffen up but not go any softer
