Does anyone know what they install for gears on the Rocky Ridge Package? A dealer near me has a new JT sport S with the Rocky Ridge package with 37’s. The dealer and sticker both say 4:10 gears. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure.

Yes I did. He said he thinks 4:10 gears. He wasn’t sure.
But yes the window sticker says 4:10’s. Wasn’t sure if Rocky Ridge did anything.

Is this what you're referring to?

If so, here's the list of mods. Looks like they do have an optional upgrade to 4.88 gears, so you'd need to verify with the dealership, or at the minimum have them get a hold of Rocky Ridge with the vehicle info to have them get you a printout of what they all did to it. Don't believe anything verbal.

Honestly, the dealer would probably be one of the last people I would trust to know about a vehicle they were selling. Just about every car salesman I’ve ever worked with has been absolutely clueless they think they know and they’ll spout off some BS but they don’t know anything.

I used to think there were some knowledge salesmen, until our previous one whom I trusted the most at the dealership was helping us for my GFs Renegade started spouting off how they are made in America, after he was done talking and gone I opened the driver door and pointed to the made in Italy on the door jamb sticker to my GF and just sorta laughed.

Yeah stuff like that man. I get it it’s how they make their living and so they go to whatever dealership they’re going to get the best pay with so they may bounce around from one make to another so from a feed the family standpoint I understand but as a customer, it’s frustrating and that’s why I just don’t rely on them to do anything. Remember, these are not necessarily car guys. These are salesman that’s it they don’t have to know anything about cars. They have to know how to work deals and get the most money possible.

If it originally had the max tow package added it should have 4.10 gearing.
If it doesn't then I believe from Rocky Ridge it would be either the original 3.73 (if not max tow) or they have an optional upgrade of 4.88.

The window sticker says it was ordered with the 4:10 gears.

So then it was a max tow model since it's a sport s. But thats just what it came with from the factory. Rocky Ridge is a company that takes the factory built jeep and adds in aftermarket upgrades (including possibly swapping out the OEM gears for something else).

I'd be asking for some sort of printed off sheet that lists everything Rocky Ridge specifically did to that exact vehicle.

Keep in mind it's probably a $45k MSRP vehicle with at most 10-15K worth of "upgrades". But if you've got the cash and want it turn key right now it's an option.
