I have a 2020 Sport S and am considering the Rough Country 3 1/2" Suspension Lift due to the low price and the fact that I am only occasionally off-road (about twice a year). I know this is a budget-minded lift, but since I'm not a hard-core off-road enthusiast, who has this lift, and what are your thoughts? I am currently running 35's. So many mixed reviews on other sites.

Personally I wouldn't go over 2" on a budget lift since the ride will suffer, especially for a 99% on-highway rig. I assume the RC kit doesn't have adjustable anything (trackbars, control arms etc). An AEV spacer/bracket kit would get you 2", keep the factory ride, and probably save a little $.

You need good parts on road as much, if not more, as you need them off road.

On road is higher speeds and there are others around you. You can drive a pretty beat up rig on the trails and it will wheel fine.

I agree with montechie, the AEV spacer kit is a great option for a lift in this price range.

Also agree...AEV makes a solid budget lift. Do a search for it, tons of info and pics on the site.

I have the RC 3 1/2 kit installed with the factory shocks. Not alot of time with it yet but so far so good. I plan on installing Bilstein 5100s once they arrive. I also have some lower control arms on the way from Stryke.

A lot of people bash RC because they are not top of the line (not intended to be), personally I have used their products for years on different makes and models. Never had an issue with any of it!

I just installed the 3.5 rc coil lift with drop brackets and n3 shocks. the name lives up. The ride quality is rough. I don’t like it. I hope changing the shocks out will help. Looking at some fox shocks.

I have the 3.5” coil lift with vertex shocks. I’ve been very satisfied so far. I wouldn’t get entry level shocks from them. Or control arms. But the coil springs, Vertex shocks and front track bar are good to go.

Must be the springs. I have the rc 3.5 spacer lift with n3 shocks and control arm brackets. After alignment, drove like stock, maybe 10% stiffer at most. It does come with adjustable track bar front. Rear has not been needed. I think my shocks are starting to give, but that's because I have been rough on them, and im packing a few extra lbs... May try skyjacker new reservoirs for the price. Mine is a 2020 sport s max tow. Have had kit on since 1k miles, have 16k now.

This has been my experience as well.
