Typically this is the fad plug weld failing, it's almost always after a violent up travel that bottoms out the bump stops. That axle is toast. How the absolute hell do you do that?! Seen similar on IFS jumping but never a solid axle splayed out on both sides like that. Must have been a “Hold muh bur” moment.
I’ve seen an axle tube crack but never full on break in half. That’s nutso!!!Typically this is the fad plug weld failing, it's almost always after a violent up travel that bottoms out the bump stops. That axle is toast.
Or some intense grumbling about Gladiators being Mierde with a follow on purchase of a Tacoma and even MORE regret.I foresee an axle up grade in their future.

I don't want to say this is common but it's not hard to find a bunch of this exact failure if you search especially on the JL forum. The JL/JT d44 with fad really benefits from a good truss as the tubes themselves are nice and thick but the plug weld being the weak link. I've never seen a properly trussed one fail like thisI’ve seen an axle tube crack but never full on break in half. That’s nutso!!!
If they don't use this as an opportunity to get portals, are they really Jeeping?I foresee an axle up grade in their future.
