anyone having leaking issues? I tightened everything up to verify, but still leaks from the front-top passenger side seam when it gets real wet.
I'm having the same issue... 2022 Willy's, but mine is on the driver's side. I'm getting a puddle under the peddles every time it rains, and I can't tell for the life of me where it's coming from. Have you had any luck?

Oh sorry about that. Never been part of a forum in my life, just desperately trying to to solve this. It's been raining in mass for like 2 weeks straight and I'm paying ridiculous money for this jeep that's getting flooded

Anyone that have the smart cap and a decked system would someone measure the height from the decked to the top of my cap? Wondering if my gunner intermediate would still fit. Thinking about ditching the overlanding setup

Inside from the top of the Decked to the inside roof of the SmartCap is 26".
However the rear window opening on the SmartCap is lower, that looks to be about 22" roughly between the top of the decked to the bottom of that window opening.
Hope that helps.

I bought a FSR rooftop tent and trying to mount on the RSI Smartcap load bars.
It appears the Smartcap load bars are wider than the brackets provided by FSR.
is anyone awhere of whether or not RSI has RTT mounting brackets specifically to fit their load bars?

I don’t know what FSR is. Pretty easy to make brackets though…

Not sure if RSI does but I used Frontrunner brackets designed for the RSI SmartCap to install their roof rack (also works for their load bars). So I would think that if RSI doesn't have RTT brackets for their load bars then maybe FSR may have specific brackets for the RSI.

Very happy with my RSI cap after four years, installing a 100 watt solar panel on roof, was not fun drilling eight holes in roof but it won’t leak. Very lightweight low profile solar panel, buying a “Blem” panel made it reasonable! Pressure vent was awesome way to enter inside!…..Jack

FWIW, before I installed a 10g water tank in my bed, I used to carry two 2 gallon white rotopax for my water. I carried them laying flat on top of my kitchen unit and never had issues with leaking. Depending on how you are using the top of you decked system, you could just mount them flat like people do when they carry them on a roof rack.

I have been carrying rotopax for years. I currently have the two aforementioned water containers in my two JKUR’s, 1 fuel in each JKUR and of course the two in the bed of the JTR. I’ve never had one leak. Not saying that they can’t (I’ve heard stories of fuel ones swelling with heat and splitting) but it’s just not an everyday occurrence by all accounts.

you’ll have to let us know where you land.
I ended up installing a Rotopax fuel mount on the rear door (bracket attaches to door hinges). It keeps the fuel out of the back, although I am convinced by others here that it wouldn't reek of gas, and is handy when needed. I didn't go with a roof rack mount simply because I may get an RTT sometime and didn't want to have to deal with moving it if/when that happens.
My first 4 day off-grid trip using it went well & I had no issues with the RotoPax on the door....and it was really bumpy for a good 20+ miles of that trip (like 3-5mph bumpy). Still debating if I want another 2 or 3 gal on the other side. So far this 'seems' good enough for my needs.
Thanks to all who engaged on this thread!

@SmartCap Will you ever consider offering the Kitchen-Bin without all of the cooking utensils?
I have tons of kitchen & cooking gear, I don't need or want more, but I would love to have the Bin setup so that I could have a home for it all. I can't justify buying that bin with all the extra stuff I don't need.
Also, how about a left-side/US Drivers-side version? Or will it fit on either side?
Here is why:

Tony–
The build is looking awesome. With regards to your questions, it is not in our immediate development plans to offer the Kitchen-Bin without the cooking equipment. You could possibly fashion something by using our Full-Bin?
As for a driver's side option, we don't offer that in North America, due to restrictions regarding the placement of the gas tank in NA produced trucks.
