Talked to these guys at SEMA. The smartcap with and without windows will be available January for the gladiator. The bed conversion around spring. Spendy, but absolutely flawless. 3800ish for the window version, 1600ish for the commercial version. Bed replacement around 5900 and then if you want the full shell over that another 5900.

1600 for base cap is a good price.

So far from what I have seen, this might be the best option for me personally. The window one has optional sliders like I tried to show. You can add boxes for either side. Completely open, kitchen, or even drawers. The inside has a slider opening into the cab and then is sealed and positive pressurized. There is a interior roof mounted table option. Really the design might fit the idea of the JT better than the slick options from leer. (They do have a crazy convertible shell design that is on the short list for the gladiator, I'll post pics in another thread.) I don't really know what prices are on the fiberglass style shells, but this shell would run 3800 with the glass, plus side shelf, plus maybe a slick roof rack. Easily into to it 5k. Idk if you can tell what is going on with the roof racks, but they slide out and then down the side of the shell. Everything on these worked so well and was so well designed. Their sales pitch is that it is built to last the lifetime of the jeep.

Looks well built. Do you know what the material is? I can’t tell if it’s aluminum or steel or something else.

The only potential issue I see is that the sides are sloped in much more than the Gladiator cab is so it may look a little funny..

Edit to add... I just went on their website and it is made from stainless steel. Looks very strong!

I can’t help but wonder why they have glass panels on the roof of the bed cap. Maybe they are for star gazing in case you decide to sleep in the bed? Hmmmm!!! Whole thing looks great and well done.

That looks promising, although pricey. I'd like to see what it looks like on a Gladiator once they get closer.

Sorry, weird pics. I was snapping pics as the rep was walking me through features. That is the side panel open and looking through it.

Is the stainless cap the one starting at $1600? That's a lot less than an RLD or Alu-cab starting....... Might be a winner for me.

Oh crap, $3800 with windows, and yeah it's quite angled...... :( back to alu*cab.

That pic is the back of the "commercial" version. No side windows, solid panels. The rear window you see has a metal screen behind it for security. That is the cheaper version.

It seems almost TOO GOOD . . . so my gut reaction is . . . What are all the "options" and which "options'" should actually be Standard items ? For instance GOOD Quality automotive grade rubber sealing around all opening doors/hatches/windows and the attachment seam to the TruckBed Rails! What is the material? Where is it manufactured? Lots of added drag up top once you add on a RTT . . . which is why I am preferring a slimmer ONE piece design with the LEENTU UTE (for now).
But if I were Mr. Moneybags I could see myself having the "Full Deal" (bed replacement), but at that point too, there are the Aussies with their GLAM Machines too ! Camping and having some simple pleasures out in the wilderness is what my next JEEPY will be all about - no gardening mall crawling taking it to the dump chores here ! Just OutDoor Fun . Gotta live it up while we can, right?
