And pair that 400 hp V6 with a 150 hp electric system that makes 100% torque at 0 rpm and you have a 550 hp beast with 650 ft lbs of torque.

Granted, its not a demon RedEye. But how many of us actually want or can afford that?

I'm old enough to love V8s. But todays V8s are so complex that I say what the hell, bring on the turbos and hybrids. V8 power, V10 torque, and I4 fuel economy.

If a Hybrid turbo V6 can make that kind of power and torque, why not. Ford has been doing it for a decade.

Though for heavy towing, the battery on any hybrid would deplete within a few miles. So I'm sure the V8 would survive in the HD trucks.

Today's V8's are far less complex than turbo 6s.
