Hello all,

I have been hearing a lot of people talking of rusty welding the Gladiator frames.

I checked both of my Rubicon LE's and sure enough my Granite Crystal has rust on them.

Anyone heard or seen anything from anyone else talking about this?

I am sure there are people out here that has questions but don’t want to ask.

I will break the ICE and start this.

Haven’t heard of any rust issues on JTs other than surface rust found on unfinished surfaces.

I read about this a year or so ago on the JL's. Have yet to hear about it on the JT.

Probably the silica breaking off the welds like every other truck frame on the market.

This will happen as you drive it and wheel it.

Time to get a slag hammer, wire brush, and a can of Rust-Oleum or POR15

If you are talking the brown spots on the welds, that’s not rust, it’s silica, a byproduct of welding, and perfectly normal.

ya, just a little flux bleed.
IF it bothers you, fluid film them until spring, then hit them with a rattle can of black primer.
FIXED.
