Hey folks,
So, I pulled the hardtop off the new Snozzberry this weekend. Because, of course I did: hottest day of the year here so far? PERFECT! Anyway...
This was my first time swapping from a hardtop to the softtop, or pulling the hardtop at all... I never had the soft top for my old Max Tow and never pulled the top.
Being the stubborn idiot I am, I did the swap by myself, with no help. My main thought now is: I wish I got this before starting:

Ive attached a couple of after-action pics to the post. I think this thing will make the process a bit easier for solo swapping.
I WISH it was about four inches wider, and it would roll right up the the cabin... as it, it stops at the rear fender flares, as you can see in one of the pics. One nice thing is that it hits at the plastic flares themselves, not near any painted surface...
My plan will be to pad the tonneau cover with some blankets, roll the hardtop back onto the tonneau on its glass, slide the blankets back to the end of the tonneau, and transfer to the scaffold. In the fall, I'll reverse the process: roll up to the padded tonneau, and transfer the top from the scaffold to tonneau.
I plan to leave it on the scaffold for summer storage. I put on some blankets, lightly ratchet strapped it down , and I'm very pleased with the result... the top sits entirely within the dimensions of the scaffold framework, so it should offer some protection from accidental bumps and scrapes... The scaffold itself is rated at 1100 lbs, so the casters glide silky smooth with only the weight of the top...
FYI - Home Depot has the scaffold for $219 right now, so it seemed reasonable to me, considering the Quadratec cart I was eyeballing -just for storage- was in the same ballpark... And that didnt offer any utility for removal/replacement....
If anyone has any questions, fire away...
