SCAM Alert. Fake sellers.

I posted in want to buy for a 40% seat delete. A user (troy44) responded he had one. We agreed on a price with shipping. Venmo'd money. 3-4 days later, asked about shipping confirmation, he complained shipping was expensive. I pointed out we made a deal. No response, days go by, no response. Ghosted.

I should've paid attention to the fact he was a 2 week old account with no posts, no messages, no pic etc.

Guess my message to others is, beware of similar new accounts, poor spelling and writing probably means a foreign scammer, if they don't have pic of item is probably fake, don't send full payment without confirmation from them.

Lesson learned, hopefully he dies in a fire.

Sorry to hear…. They’re everywhere.

I stopped dealing with or buying from anything or anyone unless it’s a reputable source or website. I ALWAYS use a Credit card when ordering online.

The only time I buy used items…..is from someone local. I’ll meet with them at a public location and pay cash.

I contacted Venmo and they said they could only clawback if I sent wrong amount or to wrong person.
