Secure that spare tire!

Ram owners learned that occasionally the cable spare tire winch and retainer could break, letting the tire go free to damage their trailer, etc. It is a good idea to run a chain over the frame near the winch, through two holes in the wheel, and held closed with a bolt and nut. You can add a padlock if desired, but padlock shackles are hard and brittle, so I use a bolt.
