So today decided to remove the Jeep lettering from my gladiator.

I do not like washing, drying, and waxing around the raised lettering, plus I think it looks better "clean".

i am not sure who at jeep thought that 3/4" double sided tape couldn't hold the letters to the tailgate and decided they also needed to add two holes.

One hole for the J and another hole for the P and then they also thought it should def be two different size/type holes. And they are not even spaced evenly when using the camera as the center point.

Thoughts on "filling" the holes? Just rubber grommets? bumper sticker, trail badges?

Ugh!!!

Is there any chance they match up with licence plate holes? Maybe for other countries....... Either way I hear ya with over killing stupid shit like a badge and under developing more important things.

If they just taped them on, there would be someone else with a thread entitled "Seriously Jeep !!! Only tape ? Why so half assed ??!!?" ...

Ya can't please everyone folks ...

If ya want it "clean" seems the only recourse is bondo and repaint ... If ya want to "half ass" it, than white vinyl sticker ... Or other sticker ... But you were clear that you dont want anything there ... So, paint it seems is about the only option ...

I would have thought the lettering would be done by machine, not some worker back there trying to "eye ball" it.

Yeah, "clean" is preferred. I guess more so that it's flat and easier to dry and wax over instead of around and in between.

I am ok with the Mojave stickers on the hood, just wash, dry and wax right over them.

Maybe a wrap for just the tailgate is the way to go if they can match the colors.

Thanks for everyone's input so far.

I don't think the license plate thing would work. I would have to add two more holes and I don't think there is enough space there with the back up camera.

Only two real sensible options, one is to order the Oracle flush mount LED tail lights and wait for the matching light bar that goes across the tailgate between the lights right over the holes you are worried about, and option two is to give a clean low key look take your Jeep logo to a body shop and have painted to match your jeep color, it will blend......Jack

Gonna be hard to choose between googly eyes and anything else but thinking maybe one of these without the "Jeep"
