Service DEF system see dealer warning message

It’s now been a few thousand miles since they replaced the DEF pump in mine and it’s been running great with no new issues in the middle of a MN winter. Maybe It was just a bad batch of DEF pumps they got at manufacture. Build date of 9/2020 on mine. Anyone else close to that for build date on theirs?

Mine cleared on its own and I topped off the DEF tank with the good stuff, BlueDEF. Hopefully the the in tank heater didn’t go and it was just the lines to the exhaust.

We shall see.

Sounds like you guys need to move down here to FL... We hardly ever see below freezing (32 f) let alone the teens... However, I picked up my dsl a little over 2 weeks ago now and have had no issues.

Mine will be getting a real good test this weekend with a high on Sunday of -7 F and a low of -22 F without wind chill. I’ll need some sun and heat after this one for sure...

Well, I got the service Def system CEL on the highway this morning 2293 miles. Then about 15 minutes later it popped up again and said engine will not start in 200 miles. It's not cold at all here 50 degrees out.

That sucks! I have not gotten the mileage count down to not restarting message/warning.

That said from the responses here it will hopefully just be a pump or a tank heater problem (even though it isn't really cold where you are).

Unfortunately mine is still at the dealer waiting on parts. Its been a week now, hopefully they can turn your around a little faster

that's weird and seemingly unrelated........have you checked your fuses to make sure they are all seated properly as some have suggested?

Checked fuses when I received it and have checked them since. It does seem random but didn’t start until I threw the code. We will see.

After 2 weeks of waiting for parts finally got mine back yesterday. They replaced the def tank and heaters. It Was below zero this morning, it started easily (had block heater plugged in overnight) no problems, sat outside at work in single digit Temps all day and no problems. Hopefully that is the only major glitch.
