It's only going to turn the light on when I'm in the sand. So that's going to be in June when I'm in OBX. So then what? I'll have the same issues. I'm thinking I'll bring my 2016 Wrangler instead. I bought the Mojave to replace it on the beach, but the wrangler hasn't let me down.

Note: I would try playing with "tire size" on the Gladiator computer. I believe lowering the tire size slightly will show less wheel slipage when the computer compares all the spinning variables to determine if clutch slippage is happening. Or maybe I have that backwards and you have to increase the tires size. I have to think about it.

But, anyway, playing with a variable that the computer compares to calculate "clutch slippage" seems to be a way to avoid getting this message. It seems that the calculation is too sensitive. You can easily make these changes with a Tazer, so, I assume you can do the same with a Jscan.

I’ve thought about this as well and I may fool around with it to see what happens worst part about the recalibrate is doing the 6th gear relearn.

Mine only seems to set the light on when taking off from a stop in first gear. Throttle input doesn’t matter. Also it was perfectly fine for about 4K miles now it may make it 1 mile or maybe 100 lol.

Note: Now that you already re-learned from 33s to 35s or 37s, I do not think you need to do the re-learn procedure anymore for incremental changes.

I just bought a leftover '23 MT and had the same issue.

There are some calibrations that need to be done that they don't mention in the recall. (stupid, I know) It seems to be a software issue and not mechanical. My understanding is the vehicle compares engine speed and road speed depending on which gear it is in. If there is a discrepancy, it thinks the clutch is slipping and gives the warning, sometimes going into limp mode.

The dealer reprogrammed the tire size and the clutch eprom to fix the issue.
Had same issue today - on the freeway! ?. Have appt at dealer on Monday. Gonna have dealer do what you mentioned above. (Hopefully won’t charge an arm and a leg…) wondering if you think it fixed issue permenantly?

Latest update. The dealer said the clutch eeprom reset was done before I had the issues. Jeep threw up their hands and said, we will give you some money for your inconvenience. I said buy me a new clutch. Reading between the lines, it appears the dude was trying to tell me that’s what they are doing, but can’t call it that because it would admit liability. So I’m ordering an ACT tomorrow. I’ve invested so much time and mental stress, at least then I’ll know the clutch is better than the lousy jeep clutch.

Birds, I got all my jscan stuff and was going to do some testing - reprogram fog lights and stuff to get a feel for how it works. The connector that lets you actually program - you don’t leave that hooked up do you? Seems like you plug it in, program, then unplug, but the instructions aren’t super clear.

Hey, by the way, I wrote to favorite automotive website, the Autopian, and they’re researching for a possible story about these issues. I’ve been sharing information with them this week.

I leave the cables plugged in unless I take it to the dealer for work, but I would unplug the Bluetooth adapter as it stays powered on and could overtime drain your battery.

I’m loving the act clutch ?
Unfortunetly I’m very doubtful about your service transmission light the clutch isn’t gonna fix it.

It is not out of the realm of possibility they will cover the aftermarket clutch. Rare, but not unheard of. Seen them do it many years back approving aftermarket adjustable ball joints to get a JK into alignment.

Yeah, that's what I think as well. But at least I'll have more confidence in the clutch proper. We'll see. I'm in Avon the first week of June, we can compare notes.
