Went to install mine today and they did not come with a new bolt and the factory hardware does not appear to be long enough. I had them TIGHT.
For Reference....these:

That's designed as a locknut correct? With the the plates on is not fully threaded which means it's not engaged. Opinions?

yeah I saw that. I’m just questioning it. I may go hunt down a bit longer bolt just to be on the safe side.

Here is what the pic from their website looks like:

Most likely just a flange nut - typically stover nuts are marked and once they're on they can chew up the bolt pretty bad when removed. If it can spin by hand the full height of the nut it's not a lock nut. At that size you could put a dab of red loctite on it to be safe but proper torque should be all that's needed.

I also just did this install two days ago and questioned that bolt. The control arm sliders came with new hardware but not the shock. Strange.

My shock skids look the same way with the stock bolts. RockHard told me that they are OK like that... , but, The rear control arm skids definitely need longer bolts.

I'm glad I am not the only one asking questions. Crap tends to rattle and shake when you wheel.
Stutter bumps on fire roads are the WORST culprit.
I will throw some red loctite on there.

Reviving this thread to get an update. Are you still concerned about the bolt length or had any issues with it since this post? I'm about the put these skids on and wondering if I will need to go out and get new hardware ahead of time. Thanks

Mine have not fallen off or loosened. I did choose to run red loctite.

Of course. I have run through a lot of water lately and developed a bit of a squeak in my passenger side rear control arm. I need to locate it now. May be just from all the water.

Thanks for the response!

Did anyone get longer shock bolts? I am interested in getting these skids but would like the peace of mind that my bolts are secured. Where would one find these longer bolts?

Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace, an auto parts store? They’re just bolts.

Ok, wasn't sure if they were automotive grade or something special.

Thanks
