Lol, cross country move + lots of errands house building. I wish I were getting paid but we figured it was better to ensure this in a new vehicle suited to task rather than pushing the limits of our old car then trying to sell it.
A lot of it has to do with how you are with the skinny petal. With Adaptive cruise on (3.6 gas) the HWY & behind a semi going between 65-70 I can make a regular 150 mile drive for business at 24-25 mpg, that’s driving like a very old man! Or, I can go 80 and get 16ish. On average when not trying I’m probably between 18 & 19 MPG. I’m in 19-20 on my own without a wind blocker. I also have a 2.5” leveling kit that doesn’t help. And as others have probably said, your Mojave is NOT built for efficiency. You’ll probably never be close to what the sticker said…. Just enjoy the ride!

I have a 2022 sport with max tow on 35’s with a stubby bumper and average 12.5 mpg and around 14 mpg during the warmer months.

MPG is relative, my daily driver for the last 17 years was a F250 with the V10 6.8 gasser. My MPG was 12 but it was a comfortable stable highway ride. Speed did not really effect the MPG on that truck it was 12 city, highway, or towing.

The best mileage I've gotten was on a ~ 1200 highway mile road trip AFTER I put on the steel rubicon bumper + winch (18.8 mpg). Worst I've gotten was 10.9 around town (right after I got it and it was idling quite a bit as a played around with it and added mods).

I don't drive thinking about MPGs though, I just maintain my normal driving style - slightly aggressive but not stomping on it at every stoplight. My wife is pretty much the same.

Highway - I get around 17-18 mpgs on pure highway driving. My most frequent highway I go on has a 70 mph speed limit so I'm going 70-80 most of the time.

City - Most of the time I'm sitting at ~ 12.X mpgs. I tried driving "economically" because this seems lower than most but I may have gotten 0.5 increase from it and that wasn't worth adding the frustration of driving slower. The big problem I have here is my wife takes it to work daily and she's a 10 minute (~ 4-5 mile) drive to work. She also remote starts it to warm up the interior most days as well. Pretty sure the idling + short drive time is killing the mpg because of this.

I took this pic yesterday at a red light after a 56 mile trek from my home to Pittsburgh Pa. 46 of these miles was Interstate driving at the cruise set at 74 MPH and the beginning average was at 14.5, Granted at the time of the pic I only have 1001 miles on my stock Mojave Jeep and I took delivery September 1st 2022. The jeep gets driven usually on the weekends mostly rural driving. Or have I not even driven it enough to be concerned of the Avg MPG yet lol.

I have learned one thing in the past couple of years since owning my Jeep. Stop looking at the gas MPG (LOL). No matter what I have done except go back to the stock tires its gonna fluctuate and usually not for the better but it looks good doing it.

I just did a hand calculation for a trip in California. Santa Clarita to San Marcos to Fallbrook to San Marcos to Elsinor. All on the 5, 405, 71, 91, 15 fwys. I was running high speed 70 to 80 mph, slowing down to 60 once in a while and some short city driving. There are many big hills on this route. I calculated almost exactly 15 mpg -- 14.99, something like that.

I have a JTR with the convertible top closed, with 3.5 inch Clayton Overland Plus kit, 5:13 gears, 37" Yokohama Geolandar MT G003 tires 34 psi, 17x8.5 Method rims, Jeep steel bumper with guard and lights - bumper ends taken off; warn winch with the stock sway bar release skid plate, engine & tranny/transfer skid, and hard tonneau cover on the bed. I am also running the Rock slide engineering steps and many other skids underneath, but, I doubt they make that much differnce in aerodynamics.

Needless to say, I was very happy with the calculated fuel mileage. I was very careful on keeping track of the mileage, and I used google maps for the miles, instead of my odometer to make sure I got the most accurate result.

PS. I would guess that in a flat land state, this mpg would go up.
