Sirus XM subscription?

I picked up a 2020 limited edition rubicon about 2 years ago and just discovered the sirus xm is working. Wondering how to find out information about the subscription and using it on my phone.

We bought a 2022 JTR that came with 6 mos XM. We've been pleasantly surprised on how much we've enjoyed it. You first need to pick a subscription and set up an online ID. It was real easy to download from Apple and Google Play stores onto our IPhone and Android devices. From there you can log in and your rolling. Sounds like the previous owner did not remove your JT from their account before they sold it.

One of the perks of the AMEX Platinum card, is they will reimburse you for XM if you pay for it with your card.

How important is the XM phone stuff? Me personally, I would not pick the scab and let the current (free to you) subscription ride until they finally figure it out and cancel it.

I had an XM/Sirius subscription for many years on everything I drove because I worked in very remote areas where I couldn’t get a very good signal.

It was a lifesaver at the time right up until I moved down here and got Apple Music and Car Play with the JT. I use it all the time and haven’t bothered with Sat radio since.

Someone didn't cancel their subscription.
You have to have a login name and password - it's connected to the account.
I use the app on my phone in the shop and BT connect it to my Echo and have my music in the shop (as long as my phone is hanging in the window, that is - it's a steel building)
You can't use the app unless you have an account and it's connected to your vehicle account subscription.

It's possible they didn't cancel it because THEY are using it on their own phone LOL

I canceled it on my 2020 when I traded it in- because the 2022 has the free trial and I'm now using it. But they keep hounding me to resubscribe after I canceled it on the 2020 - even though I explained that I no longer OWN or even have that truck anywhere close to me and I'm using the trial in the 22 on my phone.
My wife LOVES her sirius as she listens to her old country stuff on Willie's Roadhouse on her phone - bluetooth connected to a Blast in her quilting room.

Like my son has done for years, we generally let the things run out and then wait for their last chance better price offers and re-subscribe. Doesn't take long for them to start sending you better deals. My son has never paid full price in all the time he's owned his Jeep.

When I use to keep up with a Sirius XM subscription, I always paid with a one time use expiring credit card number. Kept them from charging me full price if I failed keep up with the renewal change over as they will slam you with the full price and not let you know until after the fact.

Didn't he say he bought a 2020 2yrs ago, it sounds like he is the original owner or am I missing something. I know I've had Sirus accidentally leave my account active for over a year a few times without charging me.

One hilarious thing about XM, the app's channels are streamed in much higher quality, and less compression than the OTA channels.

So, I tend to keep the sub, and use the app to stream where I can... more channels, overall, and better quality.
