Also - it's in the dash as you scroll through the options. Has to be under 25mph though

I’ve read something similar... you’re likely going to need a change of undies before you flop it over. Even in the low 20’s, it made me pucker. Good to know the equipment is more capable than I am. Lol

There was a demo obstacle at Hollister for the Jeep Academy, 25 deg was possible according to the dash app. I've had occasions to drive sidehills for a ways at more than that based on my clench factor, it didn't seem a big deal on the track. Axle width is a big deal, for sure, in addition to CG. A stock H2 is pretty good at it compared to a stock CJ-7 because it's freaking twice as wide.

I still remember having to yell at an FJ40 driver to NOT turn exiting a steep downhill, I thought we were going to roll for sure. People aren't necessarily aware of WHEN they enter a sidehill condition.

Edit to add: I just remembered the same almost roll with an XJ driver, he was shook from how steep the downhill was and wanted back on the flat of a fire road. I yanked the wheel straight that time.

I'm new to off roading and I am off roading a vehicle I basically can not afford. There is no way in heck I should of bought a $53K vehicle. The JTR is my dream vehicle. If I could pick any vehicle to drive it would be the JTR so I made it work.

Then what do I decide to do with this vehicle I have no right owning? I take it trail ridding and beat the snot out of it. I think 22 deg is the most roll I have been at and I was crying like a little girl. My wife lady took my man card that day. I hope that the more I wheel this thing the more comfortable I will get. So far trail ridding for me has been just me freaking out all day and the wife lady laughing at me.

Whether you can afford it or not... it's a lot of money to wheel and bang up. I'm thinking it'll eventually become my tow vehicle for my SXS. If I bang that up, it's about a 1/4 of the price.

In our group, when we got to that sidehill obstacle, it was mentioned that the spec from the factory is a max of 40 degrees. Of course geometry will have a lot to say about that ( CG, lift, etc.), but the first person through that showed a tilt of 28 degrees - it sure looked like a lot more than that!

Very generally, if you can drop a plumb line from your CG point to the ground, and it lands inside the rectangle formed by your tires' contact patches you won't tip over; if it falls OUTSIDE that rectangle you're going for a ride...

I would imagine 30 or less you would be fine for sure. I feel my Max tow with 1.75" wheel spacers, about 3" of lift and 35" tires is pretty stable. I would not hesitate to get it to 30. Had my JKU with 3-3/4" lift on it and 1.5" wheel spacers on 35's and had it to point to where I had grab something to not slide out of it with doors off on a few occasions and it never tipped over, it didn't have as wide of axles and a 1/4" less on the wheel spacers. I wouldn't be bothered at all by 26

But seriously on the JKU I put my foot against a small tree to stay in the jeep once but the jeep was still not at the tipping point

R U sure that foot against the tree wasn't to keep the Jeep upright? Strong foot, I'd say if that was the case.
