I'm usually with you, but my wife and I have definitely had a discussion about how it's hard to generically refer to your Jeep.

You can call your Gladiator your "truck" and be done with it, sure. But my wife drives a JL, and "car" isn't right, "SUV" doesn't roll off the tongue very easily, and saying, "my/the Jeep" sounds douchey. Calling it by the goofy name she chose is, in a very humorous sense, kind of pragmatic for us...

I've always named the cars I've had a some sort of sentimental connection with.

Last Camaro I bought my wife questions whether I like it or not because I haven't named it. Previous2010 Camaro showcar I called "The Mistress" because it was the only thing that would get my attention from my wife.

Gladiator is Maximus. Sorry, I had to.

we call ours the Jeep, we also have a 3/4 ton crew , we call that the 3/4 ton or the white truck.

My daughter and her friends dubbed our lifted 2003 TJ Big Ed when they decided to name the vehicles they drove most.
So that evolved into Big Ted for the Gladiator (Big T+Ed)

In today’s world, anybody can make the honor roll. Can be a junior in high school who can’t read but still make straight A’s and high honors.
Not fair to kids like yours who earn the recognition.
