It sounds like coffee brewing behind my dash. At first I thought it was water from the a/c dripping onto an exhaust pipe but it sounds like that when the engine is cold. I came out to my Jeep several times in the morning and it sounds like coffee brewing behind the center of the dash. There are no wet spots and my coolant level is where its supposed to be and no coolant smells. The other day I got to where I was going, running a/c, and shut everything off. I heard the same sound and opened the door and I heard a sound of a vent opening or closing and the coffee sound when away.

Since I have the same issue, I would like to know what the dealer says. I am beyond warranty and will fix this myself if possible.

Interesting. I don't have that exact sound but do have a slight clack, clack, clack noise behind the dash every time I start the Jeep. Probably clacks 5 or 6 times before fading away. It sounds like the blend door creeking open but I need to get in there and check it out. How difficult was it to get to the blend door?

I have the same issue...Also on long trips (more than 1 hr) we get an inrush of outside air for about 10 secs every hr...We drove 12hr twice in 2 weeks...seems to happen once an hr.

Open the glove box, reach near the top for a plastic tab, push the tap upward, the glove box will fall free. Now you can see the blender behind where the glove box was.

That's part of the programming. I kept the Recirc on all the time in my early build Overland. It would happen about every 45 minutes.

I bought a new actuator, 68301847AA, and it fixed the problem. I did not want to mess with the dealer even though I'm still under warranty. The third screw on the backside was a PIA. I used a t20 1/4 bit. It's hard to get onto the screw and there is little room to manipulate the ratchet. A t20 L bend allen wrench might have been better.
