not sure if I like the Kenwood KFC-X3C speakers better than the Mopar Kicker ones, so I won't make a choice today (especially since the Kenwoods are OOS until March @ Crutchfield)

I'm in no hurry; I'm putting these on the list to do once we thaw out from winter
the mopar ones are chinese made

I did the upgrade and used the Metra adapter to bypass the crossover. It works great. You'll be very happy with the improved sound.

?‍♂ ehh, if the price was a good deal, I'll still buy them

I've discovered that going 60+ MPH in a headwind it doesn't matter what speakers I have, can't hear the radio anyways

My subpar experience is with the hardtop *on* too, and I have the Hotheads sound dampening material as well,

The Jeep has been terrible on the interstate for me during windy days, usually I turn off the radio completely.

Heads up, if you're going to replace the 4 inch speakers, you're not going to find any with the same screw patter. Just order them and drill screws into the plastic. also fill up the inside of the sound bar with polly fill, they will sound so much better.

Appreciate the tips. I replaced the tiny 1" dash corner tweeters that came with the Alpine kit.
Unclipped the crossovers and then clipped on these wiring adapters:

Havent really had a chance to test em out, but install went real quick.

I think the sound bar is next. Not sure if ill mess with the 4" ones yet.

Night & Day Difference. Not sure why Alpine threw in a Crossover into this supposedly Jeep JL/JT Soundbar specific speaker.

I have the 7" U-Connect system, and I installed this Alpine subwoofer / amplifier setup, it came with a pair of 1" tweeters to go in the dash corners near the base of the a-pillar trim:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K43KGPF

Took her out this morning - immediate improvement in the sound quality, before it felt like the sound bar was carrying all the weight and the dash was playing backup. Now it feels much more "full" in the front.

Removing the crossovers was definitely a miscalculation though. If the volume goes over 25 out of 38, they start cracking like mad. That was my own mistake. Pulling the Kenwoods out after lunch to re-attach the crossovers and reinstall, hoping itll pan out.

Oh, so they go tweeters ONLY in the upper dash. I went with Kicker CSC354, so at least have mid and tweeter there.
