Well it finally happened I was so used to my Sahara… But it just dawned on me as I saw in a reflection all lights were off!! even though my lights are set to AUTO - I thought I should still have daytime running lights on the side fender flares The amber side markers

My Sport S JL did not have DRL's. Seems to be the same situation with the Gladiator the lower tier Sport models.

Why not just flip the switch to running/market lights?

The Max Tow option will get you DRLs on the Sport S. Might be able to add them?

Hay or a I mean HEY, Jeep Marketing Guy, speaking of lights . . . over at the JL site there is New Discussions . Discussions you say ? Yea, apparently the NEW 2020 JL Sports S's will have the OPTION for the LED's - Up Front (only?) . DO you have an educated opinion on that you can share ? Do you also think in CY2020 the JT Sport S may also get this new Option, rather than US having to do something more time consuming and $$$ after market (or Mopar) ?

Personally, I don't like them. Turning them off in my Suburban is part of my start-up routine.

DRLs are required in Canada, so trucks going to Canada will have them. In the U.S. you won't get them, unless you order the Max Tow package.

Turning OFF the DRL system is one of the first things I did to my truck. I don't like it. It's a waste of energy and bulb life. The Gladiator already has auto headlights that come on when it's the least bit dark, or when it's raining, so the DRLs are a waste.

I never knew they were required in Canada. I'm guessing the US is one of the few places that do not require them?
