Looking to install a level to help eliminate the rake of my JT Sport S. This is more for aesthetics and not performance.

The most my JT sees off road here in WI is back country farm tracts and some hunting land.

I'm also looking to install this on my own. I'm not a pro mechanic by any means, but am a student of DIY and learning. The videos provided by extreme terrain seem to be quite helpful.

I'm a little confused - which spacer lift is better for a level look? The RC is 2.5 vs the Teraflex 1.5.... will it sit nose high?

Thanks,

Good question! I will say I installed the Teraflex on my last JT and it still seemed to set a little low at the front ( But not much). But at the same time if i had a load in the back i didn't look like i was going down a landing strip ready for takeoff so i felt like it balanced out.

1.5in front is nearly level for most of us.

i used to have 1.5in front and .75 rear and it was a perfect lift for the normal jt user. Kept a little rake for when you actually do truck stuff with your truck, but not enough to look stock.

also a 1.5in front will keep all your oem steering components in place and not mess with your geometry.

Is the ride the same with the Teraflex? Any differences?

Jack the front of the frame up 1.5" (measure between the axle housing and frame) and step back and take a look, then do the same with 2.5". That is the nice thing with spacers, you know exactly how much lift you are getting!

Ride will remain as is stock! If you notice a floaty steering feel you can pick up the Mopar lower control arms to add 2degrees of caster for under $100. I just picked up a pair for my Mojave a few mins ago!

When I watch the ending of the install videos on extreme terrain for both the Teraflex and RC lift - they both looks level to me.

Some days my Jeep looks level, some days it looks like it has rake, photo angle and ground make cause the variations. I say go 1.5 or be prepared to add a small spacer to the rear if you go 2.5 and are rear low

Here’s mine with just the 1.5” Teraflex spacer up front (and 33s)
Jeep Gladiator Sport S Level: RC Spacer 2.5" vs Teraflex 1.5" 543BAC77-8EB9-4256-B654-883216B74946

Here it is with the just the RC 2.5” spring level up front and 3/4” Daystar spacers in the rear (still 33s). Note that the RC springs gave closer to 3 inches of lift. The spacer kit should be exactly 2.5 inches.

Same RC/Daystar setup but with 35s (adding bigger rear spacer soon).

Thanks for that.

The teraflex level looks perfect.

Did you perform the install yourself? Any issues with the driving/ride quality post install? Thanks.

I had it installed at a shop but I’m sure you could do it yourself as long as you have all the tools needed.

No issues with ride quality at all after the install. 10/10 recommend the Teraflex spacers. Especially for what you’re looking to accomplish.

You’ve probably already looked into it, but here’s a link to an install video that someone did at home with a floor jack.

Sorry for the bump.

I’m in going to DIY the Teraflex spacer lift. Is there any other recommended parts I should add to it?

Different track bar? LCA arms?

thanks.

I would consider adding geometry correction brackets, I have had 1.5" front and .75" rear spacers on for a couple years with Mopar LCAs, I recently added Rancho geometry correction brackets, made a noticeable improvement, I think the caster is borderline stock or with a small spacer lift, the Mopar LCAs help but not as much as the brackets IMO. I would also consider adding lower front spring correction pads and a decent TS steering stabilizer, not required but nice to have IMO.
