I don't mean to be cynical, but do those bats in the bed replace the stock bars in the cab? If not, why would you give up he space in the bed. If so, and you removed the stock bars, cool!

Otherwise, if only to look cool (and it does!), seems like a lot of effort, but Irepsect your taste.
Could you further explain the ā€œbats in the bed replace the stock bars in the cabā€? I don’t understand what you are talking about in the photos. TIA

I like the look of this Blackhorse bar but too expensive for my pockets. But with the cheap Amazon sports bar I have on order I think I can achieve a similar look at half the cost ;)

I might go 7" round led pods to give it a more retro look rather than the 8 small square leds they used.

It just occurred to me…mounting these bars requires drilling, correct? Do you use nutserts, or old fashioned nuts and bolts?

I am finding so much hate online for the "sports bar" and not the kind you can get drunk in .

I get how some say its not very functional, and even connect this with douchbag truck owners. But I honestly like it and do think its functional, for example it gives me a place to mount lights and will add some shade for my spare tire (when I get it) from the scorching sun.

What's your honest opinion? I can take it (I think) :CWL:

love the heck out of mine. Very functional. Besides, can’t look any worse that those overland rigs with the big ole cage on the back with plastic square jugs of gas plastered all over it… lol. just buy some Jerry cans for Pete’s sake…..
just saying…… you can find criticism just about anywhere for anything.

But I need a tonneau cover on my JT - love the soft roll-up cover, and can't have both........

I think its the short bed of our Gladiators that made these sport bars always look a little off to me.
They look great on old Tacos, and broncos, but for some reason, they always look disproportionate to me. THat's just probably me. If you got'em and like them,* high five*

Yeah, the cab to bed ratio is already a little off!

Had this one on two different JT's. I found a need for a rack and sold it. Did it serve a function besides looks? Not really.

When it comes to lack of function, that one at least isn't as much of an obstruction as some of them are!

I love where you have your lights mounted behind the cab and have considered doing the same. I refuse to mount them at the top of the windshield due to the noise. How has having them mounted there worked out for you?
I ditched the LED light bar after a few months too. They would not stop whistling no matter what I did.
I eventually scored a KC Gravity light bar for a great price. WAYYYY Better and they look sweet. I wish I had an 80s square body though. Would be running the classic double bar with Square KCs in a heartbeat. Dude, the 80s were the best
