This is my problem now, finally retired and no “long” highway commute now. This is my second eco diesel, my first was a 2015 GC and in 45k I had it the keep driving warning only came on once. I’ve got about 55k on my Gladiator now, no tune with all emissions in place and it just gave me the warning for the first time. I know the warning is normal but I still stress now that most my driving is stop light to stop light.
Congrats on your retirement. What warning do you have ? Revise your maintenance and habbits if possible, double check your warranty if anything. I was using a lot of hotshots everyday diesel products which help me a lot. Man i really wish we can just get rid of those damm systems. idile alot ? change fuel filters along side your oil? drain the water ? As you know these eco-diesels things need alot of maintenance

Been considering buying a new 2026 Gladiator Rubicon for a portal axle Overland build. Still stuck with only the Pentastar.

What's the latest on the future of the Gladiator? Any major revisions in the next couple of years? V8 Hemi and 4XE sound like they are dead? What about the Hurricane?

Looks like aftermarket V8 swaps are still ridiculously priced. Getting a used diesel may be a decent option. Did the fuel pump recall finally make those reliable?

The 74Weld portal axles have a built-in 1.22 gear reduction, effectively moving the 3.73 stock gear ratio up to 4.55 and the 4.10 max tow gear ratio goes all the way up to 5.00.

And an almost 4 inch lift. Without any other mods. No suspension lift, no regear, and the Pentastar will be in a happier RPM range.

I...I uh, really want these. I don't have $17k for it though.

The push through when you get that low is pretty crazy. You have to do a lot of N braking. It’s not real fun being on the rocks off camber and shifting to Neutral just to pause and figure out where you’re at on the obstacle. 2 footing is almost always required in that range. Having said that you can climb pretty much anything and it can pull you out of sugar sand on its own without too much skinny pedal. It’s impressive. $17k is worth it to some people. I dunno. If I had it to throw down on em i’d just go for it.

The 3.73 gears on my JT Manual just feel terrible. Even on the stock 32 inch tires the manual with 3.73 gears felt wrong. I'm going to have to regear anyway...or maybe not???

Forget TJ's garage. The future of the gladiator is the new 4 cylinder Hurricane variant. You heard it here first 😂.... I hope that engine doesn't find its way over but given it is going in the grand Cherokee, it will probably find its way over.

Then the rest of what I post here is just opinion with no intent to derail the thread or stir up anything... Just gossip to compliment your popcorn or beer....

Now if jeep was smart, it would be wonderful to throw a detuned 3.0 hurricane in there, or the regular hemi... Jeep would literally print money without having to touch anything else. The taco, colorado and ranger all have turbo 4's, but look at the renewed interest in the frontier with the v6 just because there are those that just do not want the complexity or a 4 cylinder turbo. They can literally corner part of the market only by putting in a fun powerplant to differentiate it. If the pentastar generated some low end torque it really would be fine. The mojave trim especially deserves something more powerful. We don't want the 392 either.... Premium price and premium gas for a depreciating asset to get banged up on trails is a hard pass.

Later on add in the floating axels to renew interest, and the recon package with 35's.

Maybe add a provision in the bed to store hard top panels or additional storage possibly

Jeep needs to use imagination and add practicality instead of sticker and fabric packages the aftermarket already has.
