They can take it for a drive and figure it out without opening your diff.

RPM x tire diameter
-------------------- = gear ratio
MPH x 336

Or they can count driveshaft rotations for both tires to make one complete rotation.
What they actually do that if I took it in for say a axle seal leak? Or anything else that does it involve the transmission? I’ve never seen a deal or go through something that extent but I guess you never know

What they say doesn't matter. Just be prepared for a possible warranty fight if you modify the driveline. If it doesn't happen cool, if it does you were prepared :)
Why don’t you just play it safe and not darken their doorstep again. Take your business down the road. I’ve done that and been satisfied.

If you re-geared it to the equivalent of the factory gear ratio, I can’t see how they’d have a leg to stand on with anything but the warranty on the differentials themselves. They might try, but I don’t see them winning.

They wouldn’t. I should’ve added that.

Look this up.
Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act
It's a total load of bs that will get you nothing. Jeep has a whole lot of top-rated experts and an army of lawyers who do nothing but challenge the claims. It's not as simple as declaring it at your dealership, it's a long, drawn-out process and you will either spend an absurd amount of money to challenge it or you will spend a lot of money and still lose. When I was a tech we had over a dozen formal claims in the years I was at the dealership. Didn't lose a single one. 95% of people who claim it don't even get to making the formal filing.

If you modify your vehicle, either be very sure your dealership has your back or accept that you may find yourself without a warranty. Magnuson-Moss is more about how warranties need to be specified in writing than what happens after the fact.

My dealership usually says that obviously things not OEM are not covered. They will also explain that if you can point to the modification as the cause of another OEM component failure then they won't cover it. I don't disagree with the premise. But yes, if they don't want to do the work they will go down the path if you modified this and it blew that etc. I have stood by a service manager as they talked to Chrysler warranty. It is no picnic for them to get approval sometimes.
