Steersmart Brace and Caster Question?

Just had adj lca's put on, and could not get past 6 degree of caster, was shooting for 8, without the steersmart brace hitting lower spring perch.
This is on a JTR with 2" Mopar lift. Anyone had this issue?

Not a cheap solution, but adjustable upper control arms. Leave the lower arms close to stock length, shorten the uppers, increases caster without pushing the axle forward.

do you have geo correction brackets? they add length to the upper control arms, whick will push you axle forward and add caster back in.. I have 8 degrees of caster, tho thats a little too much

No, have stock uppers in.
Put some miles on it last night over some rough road, and I'm happy with it at 6 compared to 4.5 it had with the longer Mopar lca. Steering is tighter over bumps now, but it still has some "wonder" to it.
OUr JLUR has 8.5 degree, but does not have steersmart brace, and the steering and tracking on it is tight as a banjo string with 3.5" lift and 37s. Was hoping to get the JTR the same results, but apparently its going to take more than lca's, and I don't want to remove the sector brace.

I had my LCA's out as far as I was comfortable going and still ended up using rancho geo brackets. They worked great!

That's actually what was recommended by Northridge 7-8.
Our JLUR is at 8 and we have had zero issue with it wheeling.

Right at 25", from eye to eye. raining and concrete is wet so I didn't crawl under. Upper is stock.
My caster is 6 the way it sits.

I thought I read that 5.5 was spec. 8+ really seems to be pushing it. But you say it works out OK? Interesting.

I've noticed the last few times I've lifted the front of a JL/JT that the steering improved. I was starting to think that the factory caster is purposefully retarded a little because they know so many people lift them. Interesting thought....
