Really a bit of a nit pick but any music with some base sent vibrations through the gas pedal and into my foot. I had some hushmat
Jeep Gladiator Stereo sending vibrations through gas pedal. 20200822_164041
pieces left over from putting a couple panels under the front floor mats. I cut a thin piece and put it on the arm of the gas pedal. It reduced it enough that I dont notice it any more. Not super clean looking so might re-do it later. Just figured if it annoyed anyone else this works.

Ha. Me too but something about the plastic gas pedal with no rubber foot pad made the vibrations more noticeable.

I always thought extra bass was felt in your backside or your butt, not in your foot. Learned something new here.

The first thing I had to do was turn the bass way down on mine. The thump makes my head hurt.

I've run into this quite a bit, as a mechanic it always makes me worry for a split second cause I'm thinking "great what gear or bearing just died in my drive train to cause THAT vibration"
Then I remember it's an electronic gas pedal and I'll never actually feel feedback in it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel it in the steering wheel too...
Ah, so it's not just me. Had the Beatles station on and a Paul McCartney song came on and my steering column reverberated. I thought what the heck, then realized yeah, it kept time with the bass in the songs!

Yep. I understand why they do it but I do miss the old mechanical linkage stuff. My last jeep was a 95 YJ. Was a bit surprised by how much it vibrated from the music but I didn't set out to fix it. I just had some extra sound deadening material left and figured "why not".

That comment makes me laugh sometimes. Sure there are times where it applies but messing with/altering our vehicles is a "jeep thing". Just don't ask why it doesn't handle like an e46 M3.

ps. Not referencing the wonky steering some are experiencing. They are replacing my steering box on monday.
