Stock Launch Edition Bed Cover

Is any one else having the same problem I am with the stock bed cover from the early Launch Editions. I picked mine up new from the dealer in July of 2019. So I know it is the Early production edition cover. The Straps that run parallel to bed sides are rotting and have broken into several pieces. If so any luck getting the straps or bedcover repaired or replaced by @JeepCares or @Bestop. See Pictures below for more details. I have been to the dealership 3 times and each time they say they will check into it and get back to me and never get back to me and each time I go its a new service manager so I have to start all over again. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Yes! Same, launch edition, and both straps are shredding like crazy. Out of town or would take some pics, but I've always wondered why or what is happening. Very strange since they are climate controlled and I actually don't even use the cover/straps that often.

You're not going to get any help on a 4-5 year old add on from either Jeep or BesTop.

You're going to be told to buy a new one.

My straps are still good on a 2020. I keep my cover closed all of the time.

cant tell how much strap is left intact, but you should be able to get some strap, buckles and connectors to add a new end onto the existing strap to make it better than new.

I don't have a Launch Edition but an August '19 build with the factory tonneau cover and those straps have disintegrated into loose fibers. I'll eventually replace it, or repair it.

Yes, mine are shredding too. 2020 JTR with factory cover. October ‘19 build. Exterior of the cover looks fine. Strap on passenger side is shredded. Driver side strap is fine.

I have the original in my garage that I might consider parting with. FCA replaced the soft cover from my LE with a hardcover when it was a year old and I kept the softcover after the replacement.
I traded the LE in a month ago and was thinking about using the cover on my new Rubicon but probably won’t. If you guys are interested, make me an offer. I’m in Houston and would like to get it out of my garage
