Gotta disagree but it’s all subjective. The Alpine package is garbage IMO especially when the top is off. I replaced all speakers the last thing that it needed was bass. Turning it up 2-3 ticks starts to distort after around 25 and with the top off it’s non existent. Now I can hear and feel it even with the top off.
What you get for the mids and highs, all I see is the Kicker sub for bass

What front stage speakers did you use?

I used the Infinity Refrence all around. 3.5” dash, 6.5” lowers, 3.5” and 4” up top.

Sound deadening inside the center bar as well as the lower pods.

Yeah, I replaced the 4” with 6” had to buy a different pod but it fit like OEM lots of work to get to it but I was putting the the rear bed outlet kit switch/panel so I killed two birds with one stone.

How did you like the kappa? I have a pair of the component kappas (6 or 6.5) laying around that was debating using the "woofer" in the knee panel. I couldn't get them to fit in the sound bar without cutting... So I am a bit iffy on the knee panel fitment.

Any reason you went with the kappa and not the reference?

I like them they sound good, pretty clear highs and with them in the sealed pods have a nice solid bass response. Went with Kappa because I couldn’t find 6.5 Reference in stock at that time.

I hear you when the top is off, otherwise it’s solid, also add terra acoustics for the dash for highs and mids
I second that for the Terra Acoustics - Great front speaker replacements. I love mine and they only took 15 minutes to install

So I take it you have this inline with the factory sub ? I have the premo Alpine system in mine will this still work for me ? Also a bit more in depth on what wires go where please.. Never messed with a sub woofer so any insight would help me a bunch ! TY

Yeah both going at the same time.
I had the Premo Alpine setup in mine as well, still have the head unit but I replaced all the cheap speakers and added the HS10.

Just pop the pass cubby out, there are 2 little covers covering the screw locations (hard to miss) unscrew and just pull hard on the cubby, it will pop out with some force. It’s just held down with clips. Once that’s off you will see the Alpine sub and the only wiring harness that goes into it. You’re going to want to tap into the orange(+) and the orange/black(-). Run your power, set your ground and you’re all set.
