Just curious when you got on the preorder list. Completely understand delays in current environment so just wondering how much their initial estimate from preorder to purchase may have slipped since I got on the list. Sent them an email, but as with several others on here haven’t heard back - which hopefully just means they’re crazy busy catching up on orders! Good luck with getting yours ASAP.

Thanks very much. That’s the day I responded to them with my info saying to put me on the preorder list. Guess I’m still waiting on confirmation and payment. So maybe just in time for trick or treating? Or maybe Christmas, which could be good since some years it’s 70 here then. The suspense / surprise may just add to the excitement. Appreciate all the feedback, and look forward to some pics / videos by time mine arrives.

I am one of the 9 (according to the email from Ryan) in the US that are receiving the top this week. I asked Ryan yesterday about the import fee and he told me they would handle it. This morning I checked status and found the payment was made and it was out for delivery. So far, everything seems to be good.

I pulled the top and doors off of my rig yesterday in anticipation of receiving it today. If all goes well I will get it installed tonight. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics and vids to share.

i ordered at the same time as you. I did not receive an email with tracking info, and only knew about the shipments because of what you said. i emailed Ryan, and haven't heard anything back yet. I just got a call from my girlfriend saying UPS was trying to deliver my top but i needed to pay a brokerage fee. hopefully the other guys will have someone home when their tops arrive to take care of this. Just trying to give a heads up.

I saw it pop up on my tracking after I pm'ed you. I paid it also as I didn't want to wait. My top was delivered today and I should have it installed at some point this week.

I've been running topless since early July waiting for it to get here. ? I've been lucky with the weather since then.

I got about 1/3 through the install before it got too dark and I needed to pay attention to the kids. I also had to haul them to/from events so that interrupted my progress a bit.

So far it seems ok. Missing a couple of minor hardware parts because the hardware was just loose in the box, but that’s not a huge deal I suppose.

The “Roomerang” they use to keep headroom open above the rear passengers is rather significant. I’m surprised at how much of the product is made of metal vs plastic. I guess that’s a good thing though.

I went ahead and finished the install tonight after everyone went to bed. It was dark and my garage is full of other crap so I did it outside and don’t have great pics at the moment. But I will share my initial thoughts based on nothing more than putting it together.

The rear curtain, rear uprights, and rear sail panel hardware (they call it the “Roomerang”) is just OK. I’m going to see if I can get it together better in the daylight, but the whole assembly seems overly complex. I assume they used as many JL parts as possible so the Roomerang is JT specific, but honestly the rear upright and the Roomerang should just be one piece.

The safari top and upper door surrounds seem pretty well done.

I unboxed everything last night as I've had some really bad luck of receiving items missing parts recently and wanted to know where I stood. The soft top was packaged very well but I also had my bolts/screws loose in the box. It appears the bag they shipped them in had a hole in it or was torn during shipment. Amazingly I am only missing a small washer which I can pick up at the hardware store today if I don't have one. My box did have a tear in it from shipping so I really lucked out here. Like the other poster said all the hardware is metal. I'm so use to seeing plastic used. 75% of the install looks the same as the JLs so I will watch one of the install videos on YouTube when I do it for reference. The soft top material itself is heavy and the stitching is nice.
